Mandatory Skills:

• Minimum overall experience of 10-12 plus years
• Masters in Structural Engineering
• Experience in analysis and design of Steel and Concrete structures.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel + connection design
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Concrete structures
• Experience in software’s like – STAAD, ETABS, SAFE, SAP, ROBOT, ABAQUS/ANSYS, MATHCAD.
• Knowledge of Microsoft office tools like excel, word, PowerPoint.
• Experience in the review/preparation of design calculations & fabrication drawings.
• Develop detailed designs from the schematics for large projects and schematics for small to medium projects.
• Reviewing detailed sketches of Steel connections & RC Shop drawings
• High-level skills in technical report writing, report review and strong communication.
• Experience in preparation of manhour/budget estimates and detailed schedule for a project
• Experience in usage of codes and standards- IS, ACI, AISC, ASCE, Eurocodes and CSA
• Interaction with the site team for providing resolution to real-time problems.
• Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately
• Providing adequate support/ training/mentorship/guidance to the junior engineers
• Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to perform design engineering.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience of structural software tools (i.e., IDEA STATICA, Tekla steel, TEDDS, RAM Connection)
• Programming skills in VBA, python, C++ is an added advantage.
• Specialized in Dynamic and seismic analysis of RC wall structures and pipe support structures if any.
• Experience in projects related to special buildings / Industrial Plants/ Thermal/ Nuclear Power Plants/Oil and gas and refurbishment projects.
• Experience in review of steel fabrication drawings/RC shop drawings
• Team leadership experience is preferred.
• Experience of working with international clients
• Experience in coordination of activities with other disciplines
• Experience in structural retrofitting techniques and its implementation
• Registered as a professional engineer and aspiring for chartership of institutes such as IStructE, ICE.
