Head of Professional Project Management

Nuclear EMEA is growing rapidly. We’ve grown significantly in the last 5 years and expect to double our revenue over the next five years. As we grow, we need to continue to evolve and transform our business to be ready for what’s to come.

To continue our drive to be the partner of choice for our clients, we are seeking a Head of Professional Project Management to inspire and evolve our project management community. As we grow, project management in our business will continue to evolve to reflect the broader range of projects, products and services we offer.

This role will form part of the Operational Leadership Team and will report to the Operations and Commercial Director.

Your Purpose:

You’ll be an accomplished functional leader and experienced project management professional, able to balance a busy business as usual function, while transforming ready for the future. You will be an integral part of our Operational Leadership team, guiding the way to achieving our long-term strategic goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Defining and driving the best-in-class Project Leadership and Governance across Nuclear EMEA, this shall meet and exceed the corporate standards and support execution through the lifecycle of the Project.
  • Project and Portfolio operating rhythms, this shall include best practice on reporting and metrics.
  • Risk identification and management, work with the Nuclear risk lead to ensure the correct level of risks are identified and managed at the appropriate levels within N&P.
  • Project Execution Model and tool (projectwise, Ecosys & P6) ownership.
  • Capability and professionalisation of the Project community. Working with the market team to ensure they have the capability to win and execute future work.
  • Interfacing with wider business (including sitting on Global Sterring Networks) in relation to Major Projects/Programmes capability, tools, learning etc as require.
  • Supporting the accreditation of the business to national and internationally recognised project management and Major Projects standards.
  • Mentoring project leaders across the business on development and project recovery.

Security clearance

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.  If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
