As part of our ongoing expansion, Faithful+Gould (Singapore) currently have an immediate vacancy and invite you to provide CV’s for the following

Responsibilities:

The Quantity Surveyor - Mechanical & Electrical (QS M&E) will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects with the desired project objectives.

The incumbent must have adequate knowledge and information about the business and the project in order to make informed value decisions for both the Client and the Company.

The roles and responsibilities include:
• Manage and oversee a Mechanical & Electrical QS team
• pre-tender and tender duties
• taking off and measurements
• preparation of BQs, tender documents and tender pricing
• attending tender interviews with the client if necessary.
• Post contract administrative work, e.g. manage variations, valuations
• Project close out

Upon award of the project, post-contract duties might follow, including procurement and pricing, sourcing for subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating the rates and preparing contractual agreements, processing payment claims from subcons and submitting progress claims to the client, handle Variation Orders, assist in dispute settlements, and finalising accounts.

The successful candidate should posses:

Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
Minimum 5 years of working experience in Building and/or Engineering projects preferably with consultancy background
A breadth knowledge across all aspects of M&E knowledge and excellent technical knowledge in a number of specific areas
With wide range of projects experience in all sizes and dimensions.
Sound computer knowledge
Familiarity with MEP cost estimates/tender preparation and evaluation/interim valuation/final account close out; knowledge of different types of Conditions of Contracts will be an advantage
