AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in New York City, NY. Typical projects might include major construction management engagements, design-build projects of national significance, design-build-operate-maintain undertakings, Light Rail and Bus Rapid Transit design and implementation, or large environmental studies requiring specialized knowledge and abilities.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Serves as technical consultant, solving major technical problems, developing engineering standards and guides, and determining program objectives and requirements.
• Analyzes projects and makes cost-effective design recommendations, monitors design approaches and makes final design decisions.
• Provides consultation and advice throughout the company on matters within area of expertise.
• Monitors budget conformance.
• Actively serves in quality control capacity.
• Markets company services.
• Conducts technical training workshops and serves as mentor to less experienced engineers and other technical professionals.
• May function as the project manager for routine to semi-complex projects. Responsibilities may include marketing, negotiating contracts, budgeting, financial management, schedule coordination and resources allocation.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

What will you contribute?

• Bachelor's or Master’s in Engineering. M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred.
• 15 years’ experience since Bachelor's or 14 years since Master's preferred.
• Licensed Structural Engineer with NY, NJ P.E. and 15+ years diversified experience in structural design and multi-disciplinary project management.
• Experience to include management and supervision for production of design package deliverables for traditional and alternate delivery projects.
• Experience to include technical supervision and project management roles.
• Project experience to include; transit elevated and underground station rehabilitation design, ADA accessibility upgrades, railyard maintenance facilities, bus depot and maintenance facilities.
• Must have a hands on and demonstrated track record in efficient and timely project delivery.
• Experience with transit and transportation agencies in New York Metropolitan areas required.

Expected compensation range is between $95k - 160k annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
