We are looking for a passionate and experienced Social Value Lead to join our team and drive our social value agenda forward.

The Social Value Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social value strategy. This role will involve working closely with various stakeholders, including clients, partners, and community groups, to ensure that our projects deliver tangible social benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social value, sustainability, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social value strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate social value considerations into project planning and delivery.
  • Engage with clients, partners, and community groups to identify opportunities for social value creation.
  • Monitor and report on social value outcomes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and frameworks.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on social value principles and practices.
  • Represent the company at industry events and forums, promoting our social value initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in social value and sustainability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, sustainability, business) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of delivering successful social value initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of social value frameworks and standards (e.g., Social Value Act, ISO 26000).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to measure and report on social value outcomes.
  • Passion for social value and sustainability, with a commitment to making a positive impact.

Security clearance:

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.  If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
