Our Programme Advisory team:

We have had significant success in the infrastructure market over the last year which has meant that we are now one of the fastest growing parts of the organisation and have ambitious plans to grow even faster in the next few years. We have built a Programme Advisory business unit which continues to go from strength to strength. On the back of this success, we are now investing significantly in our people and to bring in the right talent to join our team.

The advisory team supports our Complex Infrastructure clients’ sectors in setting up, assessing and transforming some of the largest and complex programmes in UK and beyond, within our Nuclear, Aviation, Defence, Water, Transportation, Power & Renewables sectors.

What are we looking for:

  • As Practice Manager for the Midlands, you are responsible for client delivery, operational management and supporting growth across the region. You will be part of the Programme Advisory (PA) Management Team where you will work with the senior managers in the business to support the PA Practice Director to deliver our strategy, aligned to our vision. Including responsibility to assist PA achieve key performance metrics.
  • The role includes resource management including leading a team of high performing individuals of programme management professionals, motivating our people to perform at their best, with innovation at the heart. Working with the PA team and client directors to secure resource opportunities.  

Required Skills:

  • Responsible for team management including talent development, maintaining high level of retention, staff engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Working closely with our client directors to source new opportunities, work on bid proposal and lead client engagement sessions. 
  • Quality Management (inc. continuous improvement, innovation and maximising our Global Technology Centre, working with Technical Leadership Groups.) 
  • Interfacing with the wider AR business (including Property) and Engineering services to enhance our brand and delivery our vision. 
  • Ability to working across the programme lifecycle to setup and deliver within major transformational projects/programmes and PMOs.
  • Deliver strategic advisory services including business transformations, organisation design, portfolio design and management, improving programme efficiencies and performance, etc.
  • Effective Stakeholder Management and Communication skills. The ability to tailor the message and liaise directly with the required client or audience including facilitating multi-media workshops (in person, virtual or hybrid) with stakeholders from the top to the bottom of organisations.
  • Have a commercial awareness and be able to proactively manage commercial demands.
  • Pro-active with high personal motivation and drive, able to work and thrive in and deliver high quality advice/solutions in complex and ever-changing environments.

Credentials:

  • Experience in managing small-medium sized teams.
  • Evidence of pursuing technical excellence and growth in the advisory space.
  • Evidence of identifying and growing talent.
  • Evidence of resource management (incl. motivating, recruiting, retention).
  • Relevant professional certification(s) – e.g., APM PMQ/PPQ/ChPP; MoP; MSP; PRINCE2, P3O, PROSCI, Lean, Six Sigma.
