Associate Director, Quantity Surveying

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a small team of quantity surveyors with mentorship and performance management to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing robust cost control processes and procedures to support project budgeting, cost estimations/ monitoring and forecasting.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary engineering teams and provide advice and guidance on contractual matters, claims management, and dispute resolution.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents to support the bidding and procurement process.
  • Responsible for analysing project financial data and performance metrics to identify any cost savings opportunities and optimize project margin.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying and cost management.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company by providing input on business development, resource planning, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

An ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related engineering discipline.
  • Be a Chartered professional member with a recognised Quantity Surveying professional institute (HKIS, RICS)
  • Min 15 years of relevant experience in the industry, with a proven track record of delivering large scale projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes and cost control methodologies
  • Have strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills; and
  • The role will be based in our Hong Kong Office.
  • Near native fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. Ability to speak Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) would be an advantage.
