We are seeking a Cash Applications Specialist to join our team in Tallahassee, FL.     
This role will be responsible for all cash applications for the company and for the posting of lockbox deposits, wire transfers, electronic checks, and credit card payments. Prepares monthly reports for management. Acts as point of contact with bank for deposit discrepancies and related questions.

How will you contribute to the team?
•    Performs cash applications for the company, preparing deposits from various sources to different bank accounts.
•    Analyzes, keys in and posts lockbox deposits in project accounting/financial system.
•    Analyzes, inputs and posts all wire transfers, electronic checks, and credit card payments to the appropriate accounts.
•    Notifies collections staff of payments received for their regions, and helps to resolve reconciliation issues.
•    Researches and responds to bank inquires on deposit discrepancies, and reports discrepancies to Treasury Department.
•    Prepares spreadsheet reports to present accurate financial data on the collections program.
•    May be required to perform special assignments for the collections program, such as monitoring data for the annual budget process.
•    Provides aging reports to collections staff to track accounts over 60 days past due, for all group companies, on a monthly basis.
•    Prepares bank deposits for payments received locally, researches correct coding and keys into spreadsheet for Treasury Analyst to record via journal entry.
•    Assists with Political Action Committee (PAC) and Atkins Foundation payment requests.
•    Assists in obtaining signatures for bank account documents, credit applications and various PAC required state filings.
•    Assists with corporate credit card programs.
•    Performs other such duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
What will you contribute?    
•    High school diploma (or equivalent) plus six years related accounting experience OR an associate's degree in a related field plus four years related experience is required. Associate's degree in Math or Accounting preferred. 
•    Experience working with ORACLE Financials or a major ERP system required.
•    Above-average statistical and interpersonal skills and attention to detail. 
•    Good knowledge of the company's project accounting/financial system and strong spreadsheet skills. 
•    Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management and with bank representatives and other personnel.
