Bruce A Units 3 and 4 Major Component Replacement (MCR) program, Fuel Channels, Calandria Tubes and the Feeder Piping of the Primary Heat Transport System will be removed and replaced in order to extend the life of the units. The replacement components will be modified to comply with modern codes and standards and to incorporate operating experience and improvements in CANDU technology. 

The Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manager, for a 12-16-month term.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Monitor project cost and schedule; and flag any risks to project manager.
  • Support technical team and provide budget and schedule status updates as needed.
  • Monitor project KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and KWMs (Key Work Milestones).
  • Actively participate in project KPIs troubleshooting and corrective actions.
  • Preparation of hours requests and status tracking.
  • Tracking project actions and follow-up with the action owners.
  • Coordinate new tasks and RFIs (Request for Information) estimates.
  • Track review and comment (R&C) cycles and update P6 schedule accordingly.
  • Maintain project log, including actions, risks, and other tracking items.

What will you contribute?

  • Currently enrolled in a University Engineering program and interest in becoming a P. Eng.
  • Well-developed time management, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Team player.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
  • Written/oral communications.
  • Working knowledge of CANDU reactor components is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of P6 schedule is an asset.
  • Work location is in Mississauga office.
  • Travel as necessary.
