Design Manager - MEP

Atkins we are currently looking for a Design Manager – Engineering (Buildings) in UAE.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Building Design team, you will be involved in real projects from day one, with exposure to some of the most demanding projects. • Represent Atkins on a daily basis to our Client, the Contractor & the Stake holders

• Experience on design would be advantageous.

• An understanding of all MEP & Engineering and to coordinate within the spatial constraints of a project is essential.

• Strong communication skills will be required to interact with project stakeholders, where necessary explaining our designs and providing direction to our design team.

• Commercial awareness essential with an understanding and ability to administer Change Control.

Requirements

• B.E / B. Tech or M.E / M. Tech Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree from a recognized University.

• 15 years’ experience in projects

• The ability to think laterally and possess a sound understanding of engineering principles. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and will be able to build and develop relationships, both internally and externally.

• Experience on major projects would be advantageous.

• Previous experience of leading multi-disciplinary design teams and responsibilities for budgets and programming

• Commercial awareness essential with an understanding and ability to administer Change Control.

• Strong communication skills will be required to interact with project stakeholders
