We are seeking for a Electrical Engineer to join our team. This position location is in Guaynabo, PR. The work schedule could be a Hybrid work opportunity in Puerto Rico or may be based in our AtkinsRéalis Caribe office.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Performing electrical system studies and calculations such as load flow and short circuit analysis, relay coordination and programming, arc flash analysis, grounding, and lightning protection system calculations.
• Preparing engineering reports, tender and construction drawings, and documents.
• Preparing equipment specification and selection and performing technical bid evaluation and making recommendations.
• Preparing power distribution and transmission layouts, grounding and lightning protection system design and layouts.
• Developing wiring diagrams, single line and three-line diagrams and schematic diagrams.
• Sizing and specifying electrical equipment.
• Assisting with field construction, commissioning, and vendor factory acceptance tests.
• Ability to effectively interact with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.

What will you contribute?

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering. This level my be achieved by Engineers with 2 years' experience since B.S. or 1 year since M.S. The typical incumbent has 3 to 5 years' experience since Bachelor's degree.
• Background in power, industrial and high voltage substations (AIS and GIS).
• Knowledge in applicable codes and standards (NEC, ANSI/ IEEE).
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on client management.
• E.I. or EIT usually required.
• Knowledge in equipment sizing, specification, and selection (transformers, generators, motors, HV substation equipment AIS and GIS physical layout, elevation, conductor and bus bar sizing/selection, and material selection).
• in developing one-line diagrams, 3-line diagrams, schematic diagrams.
• Knowledge in power system studies (load flow, short circuity, arc flash, relay coordination, grounding/lightning protection system,).
• AutoCAD experience.
