General Accounting Agent - fixed assets

For this role, we are looking for someone who is interested in enhancing further the expertize in accounting and finance.  Your main responsibility will be to perform general accounting - related tasks (account reconciliations and analysis, journal entries, etc.) and support the US and Canadian business units finance teams in the period-end (month-end, quarter-end, year-end) closing.

You need to have a strong focus on producing high-quality work and be able to deliver results while working with short deadlines. The General Ledger Agent is part of the General Accounting Team of AtkinsRéalis Finance Shared Service Centre based in Bucharest.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting activities for AtkinsRéalis legal entities
• Analyze capital expenses and fixed assets
• Prepare other general ledger accounts reconciliations
• Perform OPEX and CAPEX accounting, continuity schedules
• Prepare, analyze and book accruals, overhead allocations and intercompany transactions, review the Interco recharges and invoices for all US entities in scope
• Maintain the Prolease system for equipment and leases for entities in scope
• Prepare, review and distribute financial reports and analysis as per requests
• Audit support for all activities

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting
• Process Improvement understanding
• Good communication & Collaboration skills
• Solid understanding of accounting practices and principles
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting/finance
• Experience in financial systems (Oracle, Business Objects, Blackline etc)
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Fluency in English & Romanian, French knowledge is a plus
• Candidate based in Romania
