AtkinsRéalis is seeking a skilled Key Account Manager to join our team for the transformative NEOM project in Saudi Arabia. This role is essential for developing and maintaining strategic client relationships that are vital for our business growth. Your expertise in the construction and consultancy industry will be crucial in addressing client needs and delivering innovative solutions.

Your Role as a Key Account Manager: As a Key Account Manager, you hold a critical role in Atkins, responsible for building long-term relationships with one or more of our most important clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving Growth: Increase sales revenue and profit across our engagements with the client, identifying new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
  • Client Insight Development: Develop deep insights about the client to support the creation of differentiated value propositions that add real value to their operations.
  • Brand Building: Enhance Atkins’ brand presence within the client organisation and the broader market, ensuring our capabilities are well-known and valued.
  • Relationship Management: Create and maintain long-term relationships with key client stakeholders, ensuring trust and collaboration.
  • Team Leadership: Potentially lead a client management team to deliver on sales, margin, and client delivery objectives, ensuring alignment across all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding Client Needs: Spend time engaging directly with clients to understand their business challenges, fostering strong relationships and planning for business opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop and implement plans that outline how various teams across Atkins will work together to achieve both short-term and long-term business targets for the client account. Engage all stakeholders to ensure full support for the Client Account Team in delivering this plan.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and assess performance against client objectives, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients to communicate progress, insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Governance: Manage all governance administration for win work activities for the client account.
  • Bid Leadership: Where required provide Bid Direction / Management for pursuits for the client account in conjunction with the operations and delivery teams.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience in Key Account Management within the construction and consultancy sectors.
  • Strong ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, particularly in the KSA market.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of major infrastructure projects and their delivery processes.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to client offices and project sites across KSA.

Beneficial Skills/Experience:

  • Engineering or Scientific Background: A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field to understand project complexities.
  • Experience with KSA Regulatory Frameworks: Familiarity with local regulations and standards governing construction and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia.
  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience managing large-scale projects, demonstrating the ability to oversee project lifecycles effectively.
  • Client Relationship Management: Experience developing and maintaining long-term client relationships with a focus on achieving high satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Strategic Thinking and Business Development: Ability to identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts and inform strategic planning.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
  • Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity: Understanding of cultural dynamics in the KSA business environment to foster effective engagement.
  • Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software and tools to enhance project tracking and client engagement.
