AtkinsRéalis are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rides Design Manager to join their design team in Middle East.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of designers, engineers, and other creative professionals within the design and engineering consultancy, with specific focus on rides in theme park projects by collaborating with ride vendors and internal design teams.

  • Coordinate and oversee the development of ride concepts, layouts, and detailed designs in alignment with project requirements and safety standards.

  • Oversee the development and execution of design projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs, provide design solutions, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Drive the creative direction of projects, offering innovative design ideas and strategies to enhance project outcomes.

  • Establish and maintain design standards, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to integrate ride designs seamlessly within the overall theme park design.

  • Conduct regular design reviews, provide feedback, and ensure that design changes are implemented effectively to meet project goals.

  • Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to ensure that ride designs adhere to industry regulations, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Engineering, Design, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in managing the design and engineering in particular for rides or attractions.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver projects on time and within budget.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, multi-disciplinary teams, ride vendors and supply chain.

  • In-depth knowledge of ride systems, mechanisms, and safety standards within the amusement park industry.

  • Understanding of design principles, engineering processes, and project management methodologies.
