Atkins are looking for a Senior Aviation Architect in Riyadh & Jeddah, KSA.

Senior Aviation Architect is a highly skilled and experienced architect who specializes in the design and planning of airports, air traffic control towers, and other aviation-related facilities. Their job is to ensure that these facilities meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics.

  • The main responsibilities of a Senior Aviation Architect include:

  • Designing and overseeing the construction of airports and other aviation facilities, including runways, taxiways, and aircraft maintenance facilities.

  • Collaborating with engineering and construction teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.

  • Developing design plans and architectural drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

  • Conducting site visits to assess the feasibility of proposed projects and to identify any potential issues.

  • Managing project teams and delegating tasks to junior architects and designers.

  • Ensuring that all projects comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental regulations.

  • Conducting research and staying up-to-date on industry trends and technological advancements.

  • Presenting designs and proposals to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.

  • Mentoring and training junior architects and designers.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience Bachelor’s degree in Architecture International work experience with Middle East background preferred

  • The ideal candidate for a Senior Aviation Architect position will have a degree in architecture or a related field, as well as several years of experience working on aviation-related projects. They should have excellent project management and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Additionally, they should be highly creative, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
