Due to our continuing expansion, we currently have an opportunity for a Highways Engineer on multi-disciplinary offshore executed projects from Bangalore/Mumbai, India.

Working in a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients, this is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience with a world-renowned consultant.

Requirements:

Essential:

• Qualified Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed College.
• Have relevant experience in the region of around 8 to 12 years in consultancy business working on highways and related features.
• Experienced user of Civil3D, MX design, AutoCAD.
• Knowledge in highways design codes and standards. (KSA/Qatar/UAE/DMRB/AASHTHO)
• Experience implementing quality standards and procedures.
• A very good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Evidence of having successfully delivered highway projects.

Desirable:

• Holds a master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Expert in the use of Civil3D, MX road design software and AutoCAD.
• Experience of using Autodesk Civils 3D for the design of highway schemes.
• Experience of the design of grade separated junctions.
• Experience of the design of pipe drainage networks.
• Working knowledge of KSA/Qatar/UAE/DMRB/AASHTHO.

Responsibilities:

You will be an Engineer within the Highways team carrying out the design and checking of a range of elements associated with highway projects.  You will be responsible for:

• project-based supervision of designers and drafting staff.
• Maintaining technical quality standards and mentoring junior designers.
• Delivering projects to time and budget.
• Liaising with UK based customers in a responsive and client focused manner.

The successful candidate will need to:

• Be highly self-motivated and ambitious.
• Have a track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the highways and bridges industry.
• Be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Have the ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers.
• Be able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Have the experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment.
• The position is to be based in Bangalore.
