Senior Water Resources Engineer/Senior Project Manager. Apply managerial and technical skills in the design delivery of major projects, including support during proposal phase.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Leading the drainage and water resources design during pursuit, proposal development, design and construction. This would include working with a team of water resources engineers and designers. Giving assignments with clear objectives and deadlines to team members following the processes established on the project.
  • Interfacing with Contractor and/or Project Owner on design-support activities during pursuit, proposal development, design and construction.
  • Managing (planning, prioritizing) and reporting on the status of drainage and water resources design tasks to the Engineering Manager and Contractor.
  • Serving as Responsible Engineer (RE) or working closely with the Drainage/Water Resources/Storm Water RE and support staff and Document Control for completing deliverables.
  • Interfacing with Project Owner and project stakeholders (AHJ) on Drainage/Water Resources/Storm Water design-support tasks.
  • Overseeing preparation of permitting documents and assisting on interfacing with regional and local permitting agencies for obtaining construction permits as required by the project.
  • Preparing level-of-effort, cost, material quantity estimates and well-defined scope of work in conjunction with the RE for Drainage/Water Resources/Storm Water.
  • Overseeing implementation of Quality Control (QC) procedures established for the project and 1coordinating document reviews as indicated in the project procedures.
  • Participating in field visits and field construction reviews when necessary to complete project activities.

What will you contribute?

  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or related discipline, preferably with a focus in Water Resources and/or Riverine Hydraulics. This level may be achieved by Senior Engineers/Project Managers with 15 years of experience since B.S. or with 13 years of practice since M.S.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida.
  • Minimum 5 years of performing Drainage/Water Resources/Storm Water work with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) since 2014 is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of major projects leading role experience is required.
  • Good understanding of Drainage/Water Resources/Storm Water permitting regulations in the State of Florida is required.
  • Proven project management and organization skills are required.
  • Technical writing, computer and communications skills required.
  • Bentley Microstation/Open Roads Designer knowledge are preferred.
