We are seeking a highly skilled VR (Virtual Reality) Specialist with extensive experience in Unreal Engine and Unity, and converting AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) models for interactive VR visualization. As a VR Specialist,

Responsibilities

To lead the development of immersive VR experiences for various industries, leveraging your technical expertise and creative vision within AtkinsRéalis. This role is based out in Dubai U.A.E, and involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and maintain VR solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency, reliability, and quality in engineering processes.

What we are looking for

• Proficiency in converting AEC models (Revit, Rhino, etc.) for interactive VR visualization.

• Strong programming skills in C#, C++, and Blueprint scripting for Unreal Engine.

• Experience with VR hardware and SDKs, such as Meta Quest series, HTC Vive.

• Solid understanding of 3D modelling, animation, and rendering techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality VR projects from concept to completion.

• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / Architecture, Game Development, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Virtual Reality development, with expertise in Unreal Engine and Unity.

• Maintain and manage use of our Immersive Room for design collaboration.

Key Skill Requirements

• Lead the development of interactive VR applications using Unreal Engine and Unity, ensuring high-quality visuals and user experience.

• Convert AEC models (Revit, Rhino, etc.) into optimized formats for VR visualization, maintaining accuracy and detail.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to translate complex AEC designs into immersive VR environments.

• Develop custom scripts and plugins for Unreal Engine and Unity to enhance VR interactivity and functionality.

• Optimize VR applications for performance across different platforms, including PC, VR headsets, and mobile devices.

• Conduct testing and debugging to ensure seamless functionality and user engagement in VR experiences.

• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in VR, AR, and AEC integration to innovate our VR offerings.

• Mentor junior VR developers and provide technical guidance on VR development best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, meeting client expectations.

• Assist in client presentations and demos, showcasing our VR capabilities and solutions.
