Tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do

I have a degree in Project Administration and have 19 years’ experience as an industry professional in Nuclear and Oil & Energy.  My current role is as Documentation Manager where I lead and develop efficient processes for closeout review while driving payment milestones to coordinate deliverables in a timely manner while managing our clients’ expectations.

What inspired you to take an active interest in energy?

Family! My dad is a retired tradesman and his company and coworkers were like family.  When the opportunity presented itself, I jumped in with both feet eager to learn, eager for my journey.

What kind of energy projects have you been involved in professionally?

  • Pickering Restart Project
  • Bruce Power Steam Generator Replacement (SGR), Balance of Plant (BOP) and Bruce Quality Assurance Projects
  • Enbridge Minnesota PipleLine (MPL) & Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Projects
  • Darlington Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR) Projects

What is the coolest thing that you’ve had the opportunity to be a part of in your career?

Working on the SGR project, watching them take out the generators and replace them with the cranes.

What do you think the biggest change to the energy sector will be in our lifetime?

It has become more sustainable  and technology has a longer lifespan.

Just for fun… You get to design your own spaceship. What fuel source do you use?

Like in the movie Back to the Future, kitchen scraps!

What is the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?

When I first became a supervisor, my father-in- law who was a production manager for 3M Canada told me to never forget, “You’re only as good as the people working for you.”
