Digital Partnerships Director

Reporting to the CDO as a key member of the Global Digital Team the purpose of the role is to create value for the company through the development of enduring technology partnerships that support corporate, regional, market and capability strategies. The Digital Partnerships Director is responsible for establishing and driving value from partnerships in line with curated demand from the business, market trends, customer buying behaviours and competitor actions leading, ultimately, to enhanced earnings and a differentiated brand.

Key responsibilities / functions:

  • Develop a digital partnerships strategy to clearly articulate the vision, goals. and approach to unlocking value from strategic partnerships across the global business.
  • Establish a consistent framework to define best practices across the full partnership lifecycle from initial identification, selection, mobilisation, management, and exit, acknowledging the lines oGlobal, Regional and Divisional level partner tiering.
  • Grow revenues from partnership channels, ranging from system implementation and integration work from partners, co-creation of IP/new products and joint bids for partners’ core technology.
  • Partners include Microsoft, Bentley, Autodesk, Aveva, Hexagon, emerging technology companies, and others such as Investment Funds and financial organisations to grow lead generation and growth.
  • Support the identification of new partnerships, exploring and validating strategic and cultural fit with AtkinsRéalis business priorities.
  • Support the CDO in establishing new relationships with potential partners, driving early engagement and exploration of mutual value.
  • Leverage and grow existing partnerships in conjunction with internal business unit stakeholders, continuously improving and developing existing partnerships as they relate to the company’s strategic and tactical objectives.
  • Oversee the performance of the partnership portfolio and manage the exit of partnerships that fail to meet expectations.
  • Identify strategic opportunities, involve, align, and manage relevant stakeholders across teams and markets towards successful implementation.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the systems, people, and processes necessary to ensure the achievement of meaningful and effective digital partnerships.
  • Provide early advice and guidance to regional digital leads and businesses regarding formation and management of potential partnership opportunities.
  • Establish a value and benefits system to monitor partnership performance and value creation for the business and clients.
  • Construct an internal community of practice that supports successful outcomes from technology partnerships by connecting the company’s domain expertise and intellectual property with enabling technology.
  • Proactively work with digital and system integration teams to ensure relevant and current capabilities exist with the right capacity to support implementation opportunities with key clients.
  • Monitor, measure, and report via CRM the added value technology partnerships bring to the company.
  • This includes tangible benefits such as new revenue streams and enhanced margins plus intangible benefits such as brand, safety, staff retention and market insight.
  • Work collaboratively with the Global Digital Delivery Hub, Global Technology Centre, IT Services and regional digital teams to drive strategic initiatives and harness opportunities. 

Skills and Experience:

The Digital Partnerships Director is a proactive, ambitious person who thrives on working collaboratively to create new propositions and value.  An articulate networker and great communicator, able to identify strategic opportunities for the business and harness technology partners to convert the opportunities into tangible business gains.

Key skills and experience required include:

  • Proven leadership skills and experience in influencing and building relationships with senior stakeholders, working within challenging circumstances.
  • Ideally, prior experience in a technology company and/or position responsible for establishing revenue generating partnerships.
  • Knowledge of the engineering and construction industry and evolving technology landscape that is influencing and shaping demand for future services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global business environment and operate with influence across functions and teams at all levels.
  • Commercially astute with strong business acumen to drive revenue growth and enhanced margins in a sustainable and controlled manner.
  • Excellent collaborator and communicator with solution focused mindset.
  • A natural team player able to operate with a virtual team.
  • Passionate individual who leads by example and displays AtkinsRéalis values.
  • Excellent communication skills, actively listens to client needs, and translates this feedback back to product to develop high value solutions.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and co-ordination skills.
  • A self-starter with the ability to manage new and existing partners, develop and track ongoing partner activities, and drive positive outcomes for each partnership.
