Job Description:

Linxon is seeking a skilled Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the tendering process, ensuring accurate and comprehensive estimates for projects while maximizing customer satisfaction and increasing the probability of success. You will collaborate with functional leads and project teams to deliver tenders efficiently, optimize technical solutions, and provide best practice advice in line with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Review enquiry documents and collaborate with functional leads to establish bid strategy.
  • Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates for projects in a timely manner.
  • Manage the estimating process at the project level and support the development of estimating good practice within Linxon.
  • Co-ordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams to optimize technical solutions and commercial proposals.
  • Attend Customer meetings and negotiations, ensuring clarifications and presentations are available and reviewed ahead of requests.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stay updated on market trends, customer requirements, and competitor actions.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
  • Wide and varied experience in construction projects.
  • Understanding of project management, planning, and risk.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status and/or educated to degree level.
  • Preferred degree in quantity surveying or associated construction field.
  • Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB /A. Cost E.
  • Good understanding of electrical power system engineering for Utility customers.
  • High degree of IT literacy with excellent numerical skills.
