As Expense Reports Auditor, you play a critical role in safeguarding the financial integrity of the organization by meticulously reviewing and analyzing expense reports and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

To succeed in this role, you will need to develop a deep knowledge of the supported processes, be solution-oriented and like problem-solving. Your attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to communicate effectively will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and promoting responsible spending practices within the company.

The Expense Reports Auditor is part of the Finance Support Services of AtkinsRéalis’s Finance Shared Services based in Bucharest. 

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze expense reports submitted by employees to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify receipts and supporting documentation for expenses, such as travel, meals, and entertainment.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and government regulations.
  • Maintain open and professional communication channels with employees regarding discrepancies and errors in their expense reports.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on policies, procedures, or reimbursement processes.
  • Timely manage inquiries related to expense reports, perform root cause analysis and provide resolution. 
  • Maintain records and documentation related to expense report audits.
  • Troubleshooting on the internal system (SAP Concur).
  • Analyze and perform corrections in EBS Oracle system.
  • Provide training to newcomers and contribute to the creation and update of training documents (if needed).
  • Continuously seek to enhance knowledge, self-improvement and a better understanding of the tools used.
  • Identify process or system improvements opportunities and participate in their implementation.
  • Contribute to developing a Team-Based culture.

Required

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Previous experience in auditing, accounting, or finance roles is preferred (Corporate Card, G/A, Payroll, A/P, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SAP Concur system is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle or another ERP system is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Result and customer service-oriented
  • Strong team player 
  • Proficiency in English & Romanian
  • Candidate based in Romania
