Job Title: MEP Site Engineer - Substation Projects

Location: Saudi Arabia

Role Overview:
Linxon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality substation projects from design through to commissioning, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to meet client expectations and ensure technical excellence.

What will you do?

  • Key Role : Working at site in coordination with MEP sub contractors in coordination with Site team / project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, complying with Linxon’s quality standards in close coordination with client.
  • Engineering & Design: Knowledge on design activities for substation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support throughout the project lifecycle, including troubleshooting and resolving mechanical design and construction challenges.
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers and contractors, evaluating mechanical systems and equipment to meet project specifications.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed engineering reports, design documentation, and technical specifications; maintain project records and documentation.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and regulatory standards, actively promoting a safety culture across project sites.

Experience and Education Required:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the energy or infrastructure sectors, ideally with a focus on substations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including HVAC, structural systems, and piping in substation environments. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
  • Software Knowledge: Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, MS office and other relevant design tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to solving complex engineering challenges.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to travel to around KSA as per organization requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Saudi Engineering council approval is mandatory.
  • Experience in managing site activities  aspects of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
  • Prior experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia with SEC approval.
