Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local regulations and company standards and Project Safety Plan.
  • Act as a Health and Safety leader and manage multiple project specific safety teams.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, risks, and non-compliance issues in the workplace.
  • Provide advice and guidance to employees and management on HSE matters, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and initiatives, and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Coordinate and participate in HSE training programs and workshops for employees to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to HSE activities, incidents, inspections, and training.
  • Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes, prepare incident reports, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
  • Stay updated with new regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends in HSE, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive HSE culture by promoting employee engagement, participation, and accountability in HSE initiatives.
  • Manage and ensure compliance by Contractors and compliance to Dexcom Safety Plan and Local Authority

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certified as EHS Officer - Green Book Holder
  • 10+ years of experience in relevant field and Industrial project experience is prefered.
  • Experience of working on major projects and managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to provide technical direction and creative vision to highly skilled teams.
  • Passed the site safety supervisor examination managed by NIOSH or institution recognized by DOSH (JKKP)

  • Based out of Site in Penang
  • 1 yr fixed term Contract to start with
  • Extendable based on business needs
